What is NUTRIOSE®?
NUTRIOSE® is the brand name of a new, patented range of dietary soluble fibres developed and promoted worldwide by ROQUETTEFrom what is NUTRIOSE® produced?
NUTRIOSE® soluble fiber is produced either from wheat or from maize. This results in two different types of NUTRIOSE®:
- NUTRIOSE ® FB -> Wheat-based grades
- NUTRIOSE ® FM -> Maize-based grades
What is the G.M.O. status of NUTRIOSE®?
NUTRIOSE® is obtained from natural raw materials. NUTRIOSE® FB is produced from standard wheat marketed in the EU (where GM wheat is not available). - NUTRIOSE® FM is produced from conventional non-GM maize. Both NUTRIOSE® ranges are therefore in compliance with European rules.What is the NUTRIOSE® range?
The NUTRIOSE® range is composed of several grades, produced either from wheat (NUTRIOSE® FB) or maize (NUTRIOSE® FM).For each raw material there are several NUTRIOSE® grades based on the fiber content appropriate to customer needs:
About 85% fiber (dry basis) = NUTRIOSE® FB or FM 06
About 70% fiber (dry basis) = NUTRIOSE® FB or FM 10
It is intended that the NUTRIOSE® range will evolve progressively to meet market demand.
How is the NUTRIOSE® range codified?
NUTRIOSE® grades are expressed as follows:
