Roquette to sponsor "New Ingredients for Satiety” session at the third congress of the SFN



The third congress of the SFN, Société Française de Nutrition, in collaboration with the British Nutrition Society, will take place this year in Lille, France, the 6th and 7th December 2007.


NUTRIOSEEN/PRESSRELEASE/New ingredients for satiety
This meeting will therefore be an occasion for exchanging ideas, with a quality program covering some of the most recent and exciting developments in the role of nutrition in translational research.
This will include a focus on progress in laboratory-based research as well as in the clinical situation.
Other areas to be covered include nutritional strategies to improve the health of the population and how the outcomes can vary between countries.
Finally the very topical area of how the incorporation of Omega 3 in the diet can be improved will be reviewed.

 
Four original communications will deal with developments in this cutting edge nutritional science. Roquette and Lesaffre will co-sponsor a parallel session on "New Ingredients for Satiety", comprising talks on:

 
This session will be co-moderated by Prof. Guy Grand, Head of the Nutrition Department of hôtel-Dieu (Paris) and member of the French IFN (Institut Français de Nutrition) and Dr Lefranc-Millot, Scientific Communication Manager in the Nutrition Department of the Roquette group.
Catherine Lefranc-Millot will also take part, as a reporter of this previous session, in the final roundtable of the congress on the topic "Dietary supplements: fashion or necessity?"
 
On the 6th and 7th December 2007, Lille, the European Capital City for Culture in 2003, will be the European Capital City of Nutrition, for researchers, clinicians and public health players.
