NUTRIOSE® could be potentially considered...
NUTRIOSE® could be potentially considered as a new dietary cholesterol-lowering agent, reveals animal study.
A new collaborative study, run in partnership with Avantage Nutrition and UMR INSERM 476 - INRA 1260 (Marseille, France), was conducted on a model of moderately hypercholesterolemic hamsters to investigate the effect of NUTRIOSE® soluble fiber on cholesterolemia and lipid metabolism.
The study has reported that the NUTRIOSE® FB could possibly act in delaying the delivery and the amount of cholesterol to the liver by affecting cholesterol absorption or by interrupting the enterohepatic circulation of bile salts.
These data support the idea that NUTRIOSE® FB soluble fiber could be potentially considered as a promising dietary cholesterol-lowering agent that should be tested in order to check its potential interest as a nutritional ingredient contributing to prevent hypercholesterolemia in humans.
NUTRIOSE® is a soluble dietary fiber supplement : which enables healthy eating through fiber enrichment and sugar substitution reducing the daily calorie intake.
