The Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) Annual Meeting and Expo is one of the world’s largest gatherings of food industry professionals.

With an expected attendance of 15,000 people and 800 companies, this event is an important marketing tool for Roquette to connect with its customers and consumers. This year at the IFT, we will be showcasing two prototypes featuring NUTRIOSE^®.


In the United States, most people fall 10 grams short of the recommended daily intake of 25 grams of fiber. Ideally, healthier diets rich in whole grains, fruits, and vegetables would help reduce this gap. Unfortunately, with more and more people seeking nutrition on the go this is not always possible. As processed foods and beverages are increasingly becoming a source of calories, it is up to food manufacturers to offer better nutrition and consumers to seek out these healthier choices.

 

Our goal is to showcase how easy it is for consumers and food manufacturers to supplement their diets and products with fiber by offering everyday foods featuring NUTRIOSE^®.

• The first prototype is a Pineapple Cooler beverage with a good source of fiber claim. This tasty beverage consisting of pineapple juice, limeade, and club soda is the perfect drink to cool off in the hot weather, and shows how easily NUTRIOSE^® can be added to beverages and dry beverage mixes. With enhanced dispersability and solubility, NUTRIOSE^® is the perfect fiber to add to drinks to boost daily fiber intake.
   
• The second prototype is a mustard barbeque sauce and dip featuring NUTRIOSE^® that will be used on a meatball sandwich prototype. With more consumers looking to healthy snacking choices, a fiber-enhanced sauce and dip is the perfect prototype to meet this market trend. NUTRIOSE^® mixes easily in the recipe and requires no additional processing time. Its neutral taste and sweetness ensures that the tangy flavor of the sauce bursts on the taste palette.
